How to replicate a mouse click in a command

I am trying to create an IT9 command that will allow me to select a sentence I've just typed in Word.

In Word, you can hold down the Ctrl key and click anywhere within the sentence, but I want to automate this process so I don't have to use the mouse.

Is there a way to replicate a mouse click in an IT9 command?
