Another FYI ...

If you also plan to use hotkeys for media navigation, then pick some hotkeys that are easy to access on your particular keyboard and with your hand/finger comfort level.

I've ONLY used hotkeys for 30 years, and my "universal" hotkeys for all media players (with just one exception) are F7 rewind, F8 fast-forward, and F9 play/pause. Yes, by default, those keys are perform important functions in Word and/or WP. But they are super-easy to access on my keyboard(s), and I decided that was more important than the WP/Word functions.

But I didn't abandon the WP/Word functions (Ctrl+Alt+Shift+F7 Indent in WP, Ctrl+Alt+Shift+F8 in Word for Extend Selection, and Alt+Shift+U for Update Fields in Word and WP. If you noticed those are convoluted, finger-twisting hotkey combos you would never want to press, you're right. But I literally never have occasions where I need to press them manually. That always happens within an IT short and/or a Word or WP macro, so it makes sense to use the "peanut gallery" hotkeys for that.

Conversely, if you have no intention of using hotkeys for media navigation, then do the same with your Pedable keys - pick some hotkey combos that are from the "peanut gallery"- keys you would never really want to press manually, and use those for Pedable. You still need to "clear them" for operation by making sure they're not assigned to something else, but it can literally be anything. Just be sure to try them out in Pedable first, because Pedable is limited (e.g., unable to assign Ctrl+Alt+Shift all together in the same hotkey).

I hope that makes sense!

Karen :)
