Can you give more context

of how are you using this entry, in straight typing or in speech editing? Where exactly is your cursor when you expand this command entry?

What the entry you show does is highlight everything to the left of your cursor including spaces (if any) and the word, then copy what you have highlighted into the Add window. When you get back to your document, you will still have the word plus the spaces (if any) highlighted. The space(s) are not there because of the expansion of the command, but because they were there in the first place, and they will also be at the end of your word you just added.

Maybe I misunderstand your question?
