There are really no "cons" to using Instant Text with EditScript, or any other platform. As IT can expand simple word and phrase entries and will save you keystrokes, but that is just the tip of the iceberg. You can expand large templates, insert field codes into templates, execute a string of commands, launch a program, correct typos, add a descriptive display form to your expansions, and much more.
