IT's capabilities -- some questions answered.
Hello Rochelle, Let’s see if I can answer some of your questions. Sliced bread? Who needs a time-saver like sliced bread when you have Instant Text? LOL! I don’t know what word processor you’re using now, but Word 2002 can be set to automatically make the “th” superscript if it immediately follows a number – it can deal with ordinals, in other words. If you wanted IT do deal with it, you could add a command to an entry (in this case Ctrl+Shift+=) to make what follows superscript, but it shouldn’t be necessary in your situation, IMHO. Those percentiles seem like a real pain – all those parentheses and numbers -- ugh! Yes, IT will work fine within almost all windows programs, including Eudora, Outlook, and even this web page. You can even set it to automatically link to a program whenever you open that program, if you wish, setting individual, program-specific preferences about glossaries, advisory lines, etc. BTW, if you already have accounts that you know well, especially if you have electronic copies of your transcription of these dictations, you can create glossaries specific to them right away -- then you'll really be smokin'!! I hope this has helped with your questions. Feel free to post again if you have any more questions. MarieR
