If the Importer does not show your particular file type you can always save your list as a text file and edit it as explained in the Help file of the Importer:

The Formulas command converts a text file consisting of formulas into a corresponding Instant Text Glossary file. Each formula has the form:

short = expansion
Edit your abbreviation list and import it

Each formula produces a glossary entry that is inserted in the phrase section. Leading spaces before the short form and the expansion and spaces before the = are ignored. Lines that do not include an equal sign are ignored.

Example. The formula file:

apo    = a period of

dec = December
jan = January
heca = heart catheterization
reveb = reversibility
qupl = quadriplegia
aqex = aquatic exercise

Produces the glossary:

[Glossary SAMPLE   5   6]

[Words]
[Phrases]
{ 5 20} apo a period of
{ 5 50} aqex aquatic exercise
{ 5 15} dec December
{ 5 75} heca heart catheterization
{ 5 10} jan January
{ 5 35} qupl quadriplegia
{ 5 40} reveb reversibility
[end]

So you may need to do a Replace all first in your text file if the short form and the expansion are separated by a Tab or by spaces and have them separated by =

If you need help you can always call our tech support.
