Marie, you said it so well!

The key is to concentrate on Phrases and Continuations. One of the fastest typists I have ever seen is Cassie Long and the most striking thing about her performance was that the screen was going very fast but the fingers did not seem to be fast at all.

I can still remember the lady who was typing my thesis on the latest IBM selectric typewriter, doing a tremendous noise... Cassie was actually faster than her but the noise was not there. She was pausing to look at the advisories and often backspacing to get a better phrase.

Sometimes we hear people saying

    "I type so fast that I do not have time to look at advisories..."
But the way to be faster with Instant Text is sometimes to have the courage to slow down and look at the advisories. If you can catch one of these phrases of 40 to 50 characters, it is well worth pausing a second because not even the fastest typist can get anywhere near 40 characters in a second.
