I love the date generator

...and do use it extensively. I have been known to type, say, 20nov, which gives me November 20, 2016 and 11/20/2016 and I then pick the 11/20/2016 from that, but I was just trying to streamline my typing, as so often my dictators dictate it as 11, 20, 16, and typing the 11 is first nature to me since that is what I am hearing first. Just one of my idiosyncrasies. Thanks for your input!
