I agree; I like to have all my drugs in the word section. There are so many weird spellings for drugs, it is great to be able to do the wildcard thing. :-) In fact, I started off with Robert Hills' free Drugs Glossary, which you can download from the link below, and I just add to that as I go. I almost always put the entry in the words section by taking out all but the first letter in the "In short" box. It takes just a second to do.

I also like to have things such as referring doctors' names in the word section; again, that spelling thing is taken care of! Also, I don't have to remember the first name (to get initials) if it isn't dictated, just type letters from the surname and up it pops in the word section.

For the most part, though, I like to let Instant Text do its thing and put phrases in the phrase section and words in the words. If I had absolutely everything in the words section, I would probably need to type more letters to narrow down the possibilities, which would reduce my keystrokes savings and not be making the most of Instant Text's capabilities.

One other thing to think about is that commands can only be used in entries that have 2 or more letters as a short form; in other words, phrase entries. For that reason I have entries such as q.6 h. in phrases so that I can make that newly-required space between 6 and h a hard space so it doesn't split across lines, using a command. Of course, this doesn't apply if you don't have Instant Text V Pro.
