Hi Brenda,

It appears your .glo files are associated with WordPerfect. What you really need to do is associate them with Wordpad (or Notepad). Here are some pretty good instructions DH found, covering several versions of Windows as I don’t know which one you are using. The explanation is given for XP and variations for other Windows versions are in parentheses.

  1. In Windows Explorer, right-click (or Shift+right-click) a file whose file association you want to change.

For example, if you want to change the file association for all tiff files, right-click on a tiff file.

  2. Choose Open With / Choose Program
(or Open With from the pop-up menu).

  3. In the Open With dialog box, select the application which you want to associate with the file format.

If the application isn't listed, click Browse (or Other) and then locate and select the desired application.

  4. Select "Always use the selected program to open this kind of file"
(or "Always use this program to open files of this type")

  5. Click OK.

It wouldn’t be the end of the world if you did open the file in WordPerfect, BTW; it’s just that if you edited it and saved the file, you might lose the .glo extension and mess it up. It’s okay if you’re very careful or if you make NO changes or say “no” to saving any inadvertent changes you make.
