Using IT V Pro in Word Perfect, an abbreviation might look like this:

{Home}{Ctrl Shift Right}{Ctrl Shift Right}{Ctrl B}{Ctrl K}{Right}{Backspace}: {Shift Right}{Ctrl K}{End}_

If you name the phrase hdr (for header), expanding that abbreviation will change a sentence into a heading.

Social history patient does not smoke.
SOCIAL HISTORY: Patient does not smoke.

CTRL SHIFT RIGHT selects the next word.
CTRL RIGHT selects the next letter.
CTRL B is my command for Attribute Bold.
CTRL K is my command for Case Toggle.
(To find your computer settings for these commands, go to Tools, Settings, Customize, then Keyboard, Edit.)

If you need a heading with three words, you would add an additional {Ctrl Shift Right} to the abbreviation, perhaps naming it hdrr.
