You can even do Merit's F12 with a command entry

You can do also do F12 with a command glossary entry. Also, it may be a good idea to develop a Medware glossary for these special Merit macros:
[Glossary Medware ]

[Phrases]

blanks {command}___________________{F12}

stop **DICTATION STOPPED HERE**

[end]

The advantage of developing a glossary of Merit macros is that all of you can share the same one and "include" it in your working glossaries. I am sure that you will end up adding other Merit macros as well.

So, typing blanks; will get the underlines followed by F12 to give you the time stamp. I suspect F12 does something more than printing the time but, if you only wanted the time, you could do it with {shorttime} or {longtime} as in the following examples:

blanks2	{command}___________________{shorttime}

blanks3 {command}___________________{longtime}

Now, typing blanks2; get the hours:minutes and typing blanks3; gets the seconds as well:

___________________3:18 PM
___________________3:21:02 PM
