AW and IT wish list

Thanks for your take on ActiveWords, Phil. I did end up deleting it from my music computer, for the time being anyway, but may try it again on my work computer.

If they email me, I will suggest to AW that the demo not take so long to load when you boot up (first one screen, then a second) and also that they not have a two-stage trial process. If they want to weed prospective customers out, they were successful. :)

One way to avoid duplicate short forms between AW and IT would be to start the short form with a number or say a comma (tip from Peter Ragg), if ActiveWords accommodates that.

As to a wish list for IT

- as Jean suggest, yes, universal Windows spelling correction would be useful. That is, a program that would automatically correct typos as you type, without having to hit a marker key.

- Easy Windows navigation would be very welcome. With ActiveWords you can type a customizable short form (letters, word or alphanumeric, I imagine) and "go anywhere" - to a folder, a web site, a program, a file. Very convenient, if slow-acting at times. If there were modules in IT for navigating in Win98, 2000, XP, etc. that could be very useful. I spend more time than I would like navigating between different folders, as I haven't automated that yet. That's why I may well try AW again unless there is another program that is very good at this. Since I have IT open most of the time, it would be best if IT could do it.
