On the technique
Tracy, Sorting them by length in the advisory creates a disaster when I have memorized abbreviations that are suddenly not coming up when I type them. I was using the semicolon, not the spacebar, to expand out when I had my memorized abbrevs in the IT glossary. In fact, sorting by length is exactly what you want if you have memorized abbreviations. It will guarantee that you get them in the right order. An example: If you use an abbreviation with 4 letters, it will first show the ones with 2, then the ones with 3. So when you add a 4th letter, you will get the 4-letter entry you want followed by the 5-letter entries. Also, the condense feature may be useful, but it is *only* useful in the importer. Once you've imported and have been working with the glossary, you no longer can sort or condense. Once you have modified your glossary, you can always go back to the Importer and condense it again. I think in combination with a software program with a word correct feature (and I believe Word has one as well as WP), I think I may be able to increase my production over simple expander software. The best way is the way that works best for you and you will be the only one to judge this. My only point is to show alternatives that may expand the scope of your possible choices. Some of these problems have nothing to do with a learning curve - they need improving as they slow things down and increase the possibility of error. I look forward to seeing what new things the future versions will offer. Most of the problems have solutions already so I am just pointing what they are. On the font question, this is a problem we will address in our version 5 - along with other suggestions you and others have made or will make. You will always find us very responsive to suggestions.
