Outlook 2007--Issues with spaces

I just put Office 2007 on my computer, and I'm having an issue with Outlook. I no longer get spaces after my expansions. IT works fine with Word 2007 (although it has really slowed down, and I can see the text unfolding before my eyes when I expand anything more than a word or two). I use the semicolon to expand and have not changed any of my settings in Instant Text (Pro version 5.44, Windows XP).
