Defaults in creating shortcuts

I prefer my 2-word phrases to be ABAB, not AA. I know how to take an individual glossary and change this, but I wonder if there is a default setting I could change for IT, whereby whenever I create a new phrase, it automatically makes a shortcut using the first 2 letters of each word?
