other Vista problem

My Instant Text will work fine when I open a normal Word document on my desktop. However, when I am logged on to the medical transcription company system I type for and try to use the Instant Text I've created for a specific doctor (whcih sets up the page with caps, bolding, spacing etc they way they like it), the Instant Text will hang on to that data even when I highlight something else and try to create a new instant text listing. Even when I remove all of the former material and type in the new words I want to create a listing for and type in the abbreviation I want to use, the next time I try to create something else, it automatically brings up the doctor's page I had originally used. The system seems to freeze on whatever I first use and repeats that no matter what. Basically, it means I can't create anything new in Instant Text.

I suspect Vista may be the culprit, as it has caused untold number of other problems, and wonder if anyone has a work around. I'm getting no where with the transcription company as they say it is an instant text problem, not them. Any suggestions?
