Check your expansion options

IT is showing my expansion as just the short form.

This is a normal function of Instant Text when using the spacebar to expand.

Some setting got changed such that stuff I used to expand with the word expander now has to be expanded with the phrase expander to get what I expect.

What do you normally use to expand your phrases and words? It sounds as if your expansion options are what changed.

Right-click on Phrases and go to Options --> Marker Selection.

If you normally use the semicolon for phrases and the bracket keys for words, simply click the "Instant Text Option" button and then click OK.
