I currently have 10 advisory lines in my IT program. I have that many because someone over on Productivity Talk suggested that IT users have at least 10 lines to maximize productivity. Someone uses 14, but I could not get the line numbers past 10 to show if I put in a short and had to choose lines 10, 11, 13, 13, or 14, IT would only put the first number of 1 up for grabs.
I have yet to figure out how to use any other advisory lines that have 2 numbers in them.
The reason that it is so annoying to me is that I have my glossary set up in a specific way, and when I add an entry to it I hate having to open the move box, rework my glossary to make the entry that I just put in to show up in the top 10. If I sort by short-code length, then none of the entries that I want to show up will show up unless I go move them to the top once more.
What I would love to see happen is that when an entry is added, it automatically shows up in the advisory window within the top however many advisory lines a person has, without that person have to rework their glossary every time. Having to do this slows me down considerably. Sometimes even when I type the whole short out with every letter that I assigned to it, it won't show up until I move it, even though it is added as the top line of the advisory by default.
Did that help explain any better? If not, I will try again..
Linda
