These are good suggestions. Another option worth trying is dynamic sort by short code length, in the Advisory options, at the bottom of the page. If you use it, your example will appear as:

ps Pap smear
pst Pam smear today
pswn Pap smear was normal
pswo Pap smear was obtained

That is, all 2-letter shorts, all 3-letter shorts, all 4-letter shorts...
