Help - I'm new at this

I got IT and installed it, but have no idea what I am doing. First of all, above the glossaries there is a C and S in a circle, you click on and they are either green or red. What are those for?

How do I add phrases?? I added one the other day, but now can't figure it out?

Is there anywhere I can get "user friendly" directions on how to use IT?
