Do you have "All Continuations" checked?
And what is your minimum continuation length?

I have the minimum continuation length set to 9.
I created a dummy glossary with the following two phrases:

tpwd the patient was discharged
tpwdisc the patient was discharged in stable condition

if I expand "tpwd" to get "the patient was discharged", I then get two continuations:

in stable
in stable condition

In any case, I guess you are also able to get your phrase by typing "tpwdi", aren't you?
