Some applications require a Ctrl C

to copy the highlighted text to the clipboard before you open the Add window.

Version 8 of EditScript, moreover, seems to block the clipboard function altogether, and there is not much we can do about it. You need to type your new entry into the Add Window or find out how to unblock the clipboard function in EditScript.
