How to get rid of the extra space

If you have many such entries in your glossary, you could get rid of these spaces by opening the glossary in Word and do Ctrl Shift* to see all the symbols indicating spaces, tabs, etc.

Go to Edit/Replace
Replace All
space^p
by
^p

Glossaries are text files. You can open them in any word-processor. Just make sure you save the file as a text document with the extension .glo
