Please help me define reports

I installed Instant Text on my new computer with Vista. I was running it on XP. I can do the log portion, I have my company name and all of that right, it counts the lines but I cannot figure out how to define the reports so that it shows my name and company name etc. My name as the typist and my company etc, does not show up when I click define reports. It only shows the default Blue Ridge and Michelle or ME as the typist. How do I get it right? Is it supposed to import directly from the log file? I have the log file set to the company name not base, I have saved it, it all looks good but when I go the line reporter it does not show up. I have wierd dates like 1899 for the year also? Can someone please help me from the point of counting the lines, log and then line reporter? I think if I can get the columns right and such I can do the rest, I have been using this for a year or so, just not on this computer. Is this a Vista issue?
