Do you have the User Account Control setting disabled in Vista?
When using Instant Text with Vista, the User Account Control setting needs to be disabled.
To disable this setting, go to Start --> Control Panel --> User Accounts and Family Safety. Uncheck "Turn User Account Control On" to disable the feature. Lastly, reboot your computer for the changes to take affect.
