Cannot remove frequencies using the importer/workshop

I am trying to to use the importer/workshop to remove frequencies in one of my glossaries. I open the file (example name: test.glo) and click the button. It comes back saying that it completed, but when I attempt to save it, or do a "save as" it gives me the error of:

"cannot find file $test_1.glo"

I am not sure why it is putting a "$" in the front of it or the "_1" at the end - as that is not in the filename. So then I tried to view it, and again it says it cannot find it - and once again using that $test_1.glo filename.

What am I doing wrong?
