Long expansion question

After several weeks of using a template expansion that is quite long, IT is now NOT just putting it into the report window. IT looks like it's following along on the entry and changes things that IT relates to other things. An example, this report has 5 underscores _____ that IT now changes to the letter "f." This is only one change it is making, there are others, but any clue why it's not just putting in the template as a whole? Do I need to change something?
