IT on Treo 700p

1. When I type the first letter of something that is in my glossary, the list of possible entries most often just winks on for a fraction of a second, then disappears before I can select the appropriate expansion.

B. When I'm using the "alternate" key to type numbers and the like, IT interprets it as letters, and deactivates the "alternate" setting, so if I'm typing a long number, the Treo reverts to text mode as soon as I hit a digit that corresponds to a letter that is programmed in my glossary.
