Using search

I am having problem using search in MS Word 2002. I have Windows XP. When I do a search for a patient's name, file etc, I will only get results from 2006 or later I do not get any files found from recent dictation i.e. 2007 and I know the patient has been seen in 2007 but the search will not pull up that file. Any ideas? Thanks so much.
