After trying a few things that did not speed up the opening of MS Word 2002 documents,I ended up copying back the old normal.dot,which does not include any of the macros I recently created,and the documents are still very slow to open. Opening MS word itself and the folders works fine. It is just opening the individual documents that is very slow.
Just for your information,all that I see in the startup folder is a 359-KB template for some macros that were copied to my computer and a 73-KB CRSDK32 word.addin.8,which is dated 1998. I don't know what that is.
Do you have any suggestions as to what I can do now?
