macros not saving

I've just switched to new computer w/ Vista on it and for some reason my macro that I use for opening a new document is not working. I have one for each doc (3) and i've redone them 2 times already. Is this a problem w/ Vista? I'm using Word 2002 w/ IT installed, which are both working fine. It's just this macro based on a template that I'm having trouble with. It works fine when I first creat it but when I try to use it again I get the "debug" message. Any ideas?
