copying text without table format

I have a website that a doctor's office wants me to use to copy addresses from for their letters. On one computer using XP and Word 2000, the addresses copy fine without the box around the address that shows up in the website. On a different computer using Vista and Word 2000, the box copies too. I can't figure out what setting is doing this. I know that I can choose paste special and choose the unformatted version, but that is obviously time consuming. What do I need to change?
