There is no built-in shortcut for the degree sign.

You can manually type the degree sign and add it to AutoCorrect. You can also assign a keyboard shortcut via the Insert/Symbol dialog box.

To insert the degree sign, you must press Alt and 248 on the numpad, not the numbers on the upper row of the keyboard. Your NumLock must also be turned on.
