This is a problem with ExText, not Word.

You have proven to yourself that spellcheck works correctly when you copy/paste from ExText to standalone Word. I have no experience with ExText, but hopefully somebody will see ExText in the subject line and try to help.

Meanwhile, I can only suggest that you copy/paste all reports to your Word until the problem is fixed. You might also want to post your problem on Productivity Talk where more users will see this.
