At end of line...

I do not want to separate numberals from the terms they accompany at the end of a line. How do I do this? AAMT recommends using a nonbreaking space between the term and its accompanying value. I've tried Ctrl, Shift, and space bar keys simultaneously but the combo does not work. I use Word 2007.
