MS word 2003 bullet list - not sure what I did, on auto pilot

Not sure what I did. I use bullets quite a lot but now, with each bullet list line, it automatically will do the next lines when I use hard return? not sure what I did

„X now is the time
„X now is the time
„X

under FORMAT

this window has 2 choices and will not just disable both, has to be one or the other
ˇ§auto format nowˇ¨
ˇ§autoformat with reviewˇ¨.

auto format as you type window

Auto bullet not enabled
auto number list not enabled
