Phrases and Continuations are Unique The biggest payoff for those with assistive needs is the system's ability to expand phrases and then, continue them. By so doing, Instant Text can save many more keystrokes than expanding just words, sometimes with ratios of 10:1 and beyond! You write complete phrases by entering initials of some or all words of the phrase. For example, the following abbreviations can be used for the phrase one of the (one of the most frequent phrases of the English language):
Three or four keystrokes can bring forth the exact words of several phrases with those initial letters. After you select the phrase you wanted, you may be offered choices for continuations! For example, see what may appear after selecting "I am looking forward to" from the two choices offered in response to typing "ial"
Instant Text then offers choices of continuations, based on what you have written in the past, and you select again.
In some cases, whole sentences and even paragraphs are constructed without typing any of the words.
