The Save As... menu item of the File Menu is used to save and name the current text of the built-in editor window to a file. Instant Text displays a Save As dialog box so you can name your document.
The possible choices for Save as type are as follows:
| Rich Text Format | (*.rtf) | Lists all files in the current folder that were saved with the .rtf extension. |
| Text Only | (*.txt) |
Lists all files in the current folder that were saved with the .txt extension. |
| All Files | (*.*) | Lists all files in the current folder. |
Files saved with the rtf
choice are saved as rich text format. Files
saved with the choice txt
are in plain text, without any formatting
information. (Saving an rtf
file with the txt
choice removes all
formatting.)
To save a document with its existing name and folder, use the Save menu item of the File Menu.
