You can have several glossaries open in parallel in the Glossary List.
Abbreviations are always interpreted within the words and phrases of the Current Glossary which is highlighted in the list. The main advantage of having the other glossaries in the Glossary List is to be able to switch to them very easily. Note that opening a large glossary can take a few seconds, whereas switching between already open glossaries is instantaneous regardless of their size.
In the following example, there are three open glossaries, a glossary called Address with a list of addresses, a glossary called Business for business terms and a glossary called Medstart with medical terms which is the Current Glossary.
You can switch to a glossary of the list to make it the Current Glossary.
Using the Glossary Menu you can:
Open a glossary to add it to the Glossary List.
Close the current glossary to remove it from the Glossary List.
Reorder the active glossary list to change the order of the glossaries in the Glossary List.
