The Replace Text dialog box is where you specify the text to search for and what to replace it with. To begin the search, choose Find Next, Replace, or Replace All. Choose Cancel to abandon it.
The Find what input box is where you enter the search string.
The Replace with input box is where you enter the replacement string.
When the Match whole word only check box is checked, Instant Text looks for the string as a whole word (not as a substring of another word).
When
the Match
case check box is checked, Instant Text differentiates
upper-case from
lower-case when performing a search.
Find Next | Finds the next occurrence of the string. |
Replace | If the search string is selected, it is replaced by the replacement string. Otherwise, the effect is the same as that of Find Next. |
Replace All | Instant Text replaces all occurrences of the search string found. |
After the first replacement the Cancel button becomes a Close button. The dialog remains open until you choose the Close button. This allows you to do several search and replace actions while the dialog is open.
