I'm a medical transcriptionist, and I've been a beta tester and user of Instant Text since May 1995. My experience with Instant Text glossary compilation leads me to recommend a component model of glossary compilation. That is:

Step I: Generate Subglossaries
Make all sorts of subglossaries, and

Step 2: Recombine Subglossaries Into Working Glossaries

Step 3: Groom, Edit, and Enrich Glossaries as Necessary
Keep adding new words and enriching your working glossaries.

Step 4: Share Your Glossaries With Others
You can also share glossaries with others in your office or over the Internet, incorporating any Instant Text glossary into your own.
