How to select text and then add to current glossary in one command

I want to select word(s) to left of my cursor, then add those word(s) to my current glossary.

I already have a command using the snippet loop called "select-prev-word-loop" which works great to select one or more words that I've just typed, but I want to take it one step further and then add those selected word(s) to my current glossary. How do I use Alt + to do this?
