Words in words list

Re: That's the problem, I want the word to be in the "word" list not -- Susie

See my answer to your original message; If you want more than one letter to be the short form, it has to go in the phrases list. I do this for some "dedicated" short forms; for instance, I use dx for diagnosis, rx for prescription, etc., so these are in my phrases list. If I enter them as "words" (one letter in the "In short" box) or let Instant Text do so, then I can get them with the wildcard approach discussed elsewhere on this board. Most of these "dedicated" words are actually in both lists; a win-win approach.

There is no limit on characters for the word list, by the way. It doesn't even have to be a word! You can add a phrase to the word list by making the short form just one letter (the reverse of the above).

Is there a particular reason you would like the entries in the word section?

Also, with Instant Text V Pro, one of the many options offered in the Importer Workshop is one to convert all phrases in a glossary to words (puts them in the words section). You could give this a try, saving the resulting glossary with a different name and then using the Show Glossary Differences button to check it out.
