Jean, do you know your product :) ?
The trailing underscore is a nice feature which allows you stick something to the previous expansion without having to Backspace. But for the punctuation, Jean, that is not necessary! This exclamation mark, or, for the example here, the colon will put itself in the right position without the need to backspace. Instant Text analyzes what has been produced in the document when compiling a glossary. But when you produce a document, IT analyzes what you physically type and reacts by expanding, backspacing when necessary, capitalizing the next thing you type, adding a space when automatic spacing is on, applying a macro, ... So there is no way of triggering a capitalization, at least not for the moment, other than to type a period, Enter, or a colon. There is, however, a solution to avoid retyping a word that you want to be capitalized after having typed it. You create a macro. It will not be more economical than using the Shift key in the first place. But it may help repairing in a quicker way when you forget to use the Shift key :) - (or when the doctor wants you to capitalize something that normally is not capitalized, but tells you only afterwards). This is an idea I got from Camille Demarais! Marianne
