To enter subscripts into a glossary, do them as formatted entries:
  1. Create the entry in your word processor just as you want it to appear
  2. Select the entry and copy it to the clipboard with Ctrl+C
  3. Alt= to open the glossary editor and Ctrl+V to copy it there
  4. Fill the Short
  5. Click on Formatted Entry
  6. Close...

Sometimes it will not appear in the glossary editor in the same way as in Word but this does not matter. As long as you copy it from Word, it will be created properly and will later expand as you had it initially in Word.
