You want to be able to change just the part that contains all the single letters, and it is very easy to do in Column Mode.
You could also do it in Excel, but I prefer Ultraedit as it handles text files. When you save your glossary file, you don't get any questions, and there is no risk of saving it by accident as an .xls or a .doc file.
You can download a trial version of UltraEdit at ultraedit.com
It lasts for about 45 days.
