Two possible situations

The most likely is that while in Dr. Jones's glossary, you may be editing an entry of an included glossary. When you do that, you usually first open the included glossary with F7 or by clicking on the glossary name in the status bar of the Glossary Viewer. When you close the Viewer, Instant Text will open this glossary in the Glossary list or highlight it if it is already separately listed there. You can switch back to Dr. Jones with Ctrl plus the number of Dr. Jones.

The second situation would be that you have defined a default glossary for your word-processor or transcription platform. So every time you come back, Instant Text will highlight the default glossary as defined under Link Options. To check this, click on the Link icon, then on Link Options and make sure you delete the default glossary from the Default Glossary box.

You can always call tech support if these answers don't correspond to what you are experiencing.
