Glossary MMList.glo by Mary Morken This glossary contains a list of 13,000 abbreviations developed by Mary Morken and released to the public domain by Narratek. A summary of the rules is given below. For long words, the rule is to use the first two letters of the first part and the first two letters of the second main part (accented syllables):
Additional letters are used for duplicates:
Endings are used for words. For example, d for ed, g for ing, and j for tion:
For a phrase with two words, the first two letters of the first word and the first two letters of the second word are used:
Phrases with three or more words use initial letters as in glossaries compiled by Instant Text:
