The colored triangle light at the right of the Linking Indicator is a context sensitive indicator that shows whether Docking is on or off for the current Client Application window you are working in. When Docking is on, the Instant Text window aligns itself to a side of the Client Application window: the side (top,left, bottom or right) to which Instant Text aligns itself to, can be configured in the Screen Layout Options Dialog.
In practice, while working inside a Client Application window, it is possible to toggle the docking on or off, by using the Ctrl+/D keyboard shortcut. Note that Instant Text remembers your most recently used Docking preferences for client application windows and applies them automatically each time it encounters the same type of window again.
A triangle green light appears when Instant Text is docked to a client application window.
A triangle red light appears when Instant Text is undocked.
